Sting To Wear Red On Family Day

Sarnia, ON – The Sarnia Sting host their rival London Knights on Family Day in what is shaping up to be a very special day.

What makes it very special is that the Sarnia Sting Organization will be recognizing Heart Month in Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s national campaign that mobilizes Canadians to rally together in raising awareness and funds to treat and prevent heart and stroke disease.

The team will be wearing special commemorative game jerseys designed in red and white to show their support. After the game the jerseys will be available to fans in an on-line auction with all proceeds going to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The Sting will be hosting an on-line auction for two weeks following the Family Day game where each of the jerseys worn will be up for bid.

In addition to the commemorative jersey a red heart will be placed on the back of every seat at the RBC Centre.  Fans can make a voluntary donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation with the Red Hearts and automatically be entered into a draw to win one of three prize packs.

Every donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation supports investment in life-giving research, advocacy, and health promotion and education programs. Visit www.heartandstroke.ca for more information.

Also following the game on Family Day there will be a FREE Skate with the Sting brought to you by RBC.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.sarniasting.com , at the RBC Centre Box or by calling 519-541-1717.
